Build the tens and larger numbers
Numbers between the tens are normally combined in order. Twenty-four is dvadeset četiri; thirty-seven is trideset sedam. Learn the tens as anchor words and attach the final digit.
Serbian numbers can interact with grammatical gender and noun forms. Begin by recognizing the basic counting forms; add agreement patterns after the numbers themselves feel familiar.
Useful questions and examples
Practice numbers out of order. Counting from one to twenty is useful, but recognizing sedamnaest instantly is a different skill from reciting a memorized sequence.
